Nuclear Medicine Physicians

Requirements include: the successful completion of a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology or equivalent: registration with the Medical Board of New South Wales as a Specialist in Nuclear Medicine: and recognition by the Health Insurance Commission as a Specialist.

Duties include the provision of the full spectrum of nuclear medicine services including cardiac, skeletal, general radionuclide imaging, and I131 therapy. Expertise in other areas including diagnostic ultrasound, PET and DEXA are welcomed but not essential. Dual trained Nuclear Medicine doctors will enter into a rostering system which includes both nuclear medicine and general radiology imaging.
