Dr Alasdair Robertson joined Castlereagh Imaging in January 2008.  He is a graduate of University of NSW and trained at Concord Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.  His training was initially in accident and emergency, with time also spent in Oxford, England at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and in Cornwall.  Dr Robertson spent time in the role of Director (shared) in Accident and Emergency, at Dubbo Base Hospital.  He subsequently trained in radiology at the Canberra Hospital and developed special interests in abdominal/liver imaging, interventional, musculoskeletal and neuroradiology. He won the ‘Olav-Brennhovd Scholarship’ to do a Fellowship in Neuroradiology and Oncology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany in the Neuroradiology Department of the ‘KOPFKLINIK’ and German Cancer Research Centre (Deutsche Krebs Forschung Zentrum- DKFZ), Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg.  He has a further MRI Fellowship from The Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne Victoria.  His special interests are neuroradiology, musculo-skeletal MRI, abdominal/ liver MRI, and MRI of the peripheral nerves.  Dr Robertson is an invited speaker on the MRI of the peripheral nerves for the Australian College of Neurologists.  He was the Head of MRI at Concord Hospital and started the MRI service at Concord Hospital with a Phillips 3T MRI Scanner.
