Dr James Linklater undertook his undergraduate degree at the University of New South Wales and his radiology training at Concord, Royal North Shore and Royal Prince Alfred hospitals. He then did a Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York; part of the Cornell Hospital Group. He has particular skills in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging and intervention. He has 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 3 book chapters, has made numerous presentations at scientific meetings, and has acted as a reviewer for Australasian Radiology and the British Journal of Sports Medicine and acted as a guest editor for Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery. Most recently, he was conveyor of the 2008 Australian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (AMSIG) annual meeting. He has ongoing research interests in cartilage and foot and ankle imaging. He was a member of the imaging team at the Sydney Olympics and is a Consultant Radiologist for the Asian Football Confederation. Dr Linklater is a member of the Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group, Sports Medicine Australia, Society of Skeletal Radiologists, the Radiology Society of North America and the International Cartilage Research Society. His interests include surfing, cycling, golf and pilates.
