On 1 May 2023, the recently installed and fully Medicare-funded MRI machine at Castlereagh Imaging Hawkesbury Hospital was acknowledged as a significant achievement for the local community.
Our ribbon cutting event was attended by Ms Susan Templeman MP - Federal Member for Macquarie, Dr James Linklater - CEO of Castlereagh Imaging, Dr Vincent Lai - Clinical Director of Radiology at Hawkesbury, Donna Press - COO of Castlereagh Imaging, Dr Julian Adler - CEO of Sonic Healthcare Australia/Radiology and Strephon Billinghurst - CEO Hawkesbury District Health Services, as well as some of our amazing hospital staff.
CEO Castlereagh Imaging Dr James Linklater said it’s a fantastic feat for Castlereagh Imaging and a wonderful outcome for the community of Hawkesbury, Windsor and surrounding areas.
“We now have an MRI machine installed and an MRI license with patients receiving funded MRI services in the Hawkesbury region without the need to travel to Westmead,” Dr Linklater said.
This new machine is a major milestone in health in the Hawkesbury region, bringing MRI services closer to home for the local community. Castlereagh Imaging are honoured to have been a part of this great improvement to healthcare.
